Yesterday we had the chance to go and see Triston and Jackson participate in their new sport. I have seen hundreds of basketball games and football games and I can tell you what's going on in them but I don't know Jack about this sport.....I was a little hesitant but it turned out to be pretty exciting but I have to say I was disturbed when I saw Triston get his arm twisted and he also told us the kid choked him! They did so well and tried so hard and were so quick and I think they enjoyed it even though they both lost their matches. The boys that they are wrestling have more experience on pinning down so as soon as Jackson and Triston have a few more matches under their belt - Watch out...

Wrestling Grandsons.....

We went to the farm in Tennessee last week and while there I was playing around with my camera and trying to catch a good photo of flowers to put in a photo contest. This is one of my attempts at creativity. I get really disappointed and sometimes discouraged at my photos especially when I see some of the awesome entries. I've decided though that a good photo is in the eyes of the beholder. There are so many different opinions on how or what looks good or artistic. I'll just keep on keeping on keepin on and if I like it that's good enough for me. (but I would like to win a flipping contest!!)

Photoshop discoveries....
Since I bought my nice new camera I've been paying a lot of attention to pictures that people take and put on the internet on their blogs and I love to look at Flicker. I've oftened noticed that my pictures just don't pop like some do. I know I have a good camera - is it something I'm doing wrong? I've discovered that most pictures entered in contest or even just posted on blogs have been photoshopped....I'm just now learning the art (my camera is hard enough to figure out) but I have been playing around trying to sharpen colors and make them stand out a bit.....

Miracles do happen.....
Saturday evening I was sitting in the living room reading and my hungry for munchies husband who I could hear rummaging through the kitchen cupboards looking for something sweet poked his head around the corner and said "I really could go for some Tollhouse Chocolate Chip cookies" which interpreted means: (You haven't made those in a long time and could you?) I said: "There's a recipe on the back of the bag." What happened next had to be recorded because anybody who knows him would not believe me unless they saw some proof - especially his kids! He thought about my response for a second and I as I peered over my reading glasses I saw a little light go off in his head....He realized - Hey maybe I can do this.....I'm thinking - no way - He doesn't even know where the mixing bowls are or the flour or the measuring spoons or most anything else that goes in that cookie recipe..... So I got out my camera:)
