How Sweet!!

We had three of the grandsons over last night while mom and dad went on a date. They brought a movie to watch "Hansel and Gretel" said they loved it!! ate popcorn and then off to bed. We had prayer - tucked them into bed and when I went to check on them 30 or so minutes later this is what I found......

Two of them had their arms linked while sleeping - they get along pretty good but even they might be surprised by this.....

and I love that at least I have 3 of them close by that I can have over for sleepovers:)

And the war is still on........

I've caught a dozen brown recluse since the last time the bug man sprayed - (about a month ago)! Today he's coming back at 2:00 - and I'm moving everything that I can possibly move for him to spray behind or under.....gonna be a lot of hard work but I'm gonna win this war if it kills me! I hate spiders and right now I feel like I'm living in a nightmare - every hair that touches my arm - or every itch is a possible creepy spider coming to get me.....Yikes!! I just really want a new house!!!

Gotcha!!! One less little monster running around my house!!!

This is my living room literally turned upside down and yes there was a live one under one of the couches and my knight in shining armor smashed it with his bare hands.....that in my book is bravery beyond measure:)

Where does time go? - I wanted to pull up some baby pictures of my son Thomas but due to time constictions I just couldn't get to them. I'm so proud of the man - husband - father and son that he has become. Seems like only yesterday I was holding him as a little baby boy with hair that stuck straight up - in fact a random lady at the store said "Oh - He's so cute - He looks like a baby orangutan!" I've always thought that baby monkeys are almost as cute as baby humans so the comment didn't bother me in the least:) He just got cuter and cuter as the years went by and now he's sure a handsome young man!

This is even cute.....He's so funny and makes me laugh!!!



He's such a great dad! - The joy of being a father is all over his face:)

Those arms wrapped around those little guys are arms of love and protection.....

He's an artist!! He can shape a couch out of a bush!!

He's a great son!

I know it's hard to notice the proud papa in the background with such a cute face in the forefront but he's there!!

I'm so thankful for Thomas and the joys he brings to this family. He has such a big heart and can give the best hugs....he is so organized and knows how to get things done...he's a great shopper - can spot a bargain a mile away....he's a hard worker and if he says he's going to do something - he does it....he loves his family..he's a great brother to his siblings....he has a beautiful smile....he along with his gorgeous wife read the scriptures to their boys to teach them correct principles to live by.....

I love you Thomas and I wish you all lived closer so that we could enjoy you more often! but I guess we just have to take what we can get right now - we sure enjoyed our visit with you guys and can't wait for you guys to come and visit us soon!!!!

Even my hubby notices an interesting picture opportunity....

My husband and I were standing in the kitchen the other day and he said "You know - that would make an interesting picture - look how the tomatoes are reflecting in your mixer bowl" I kind of went about my business and didn't really look right away but then when I took a glance - I thought he was right - All I see when I see those tomatoes on the counter is a day of canning - hot - messy - and time consuming. He saw a beautiful colorful reflection......It made me think of all the times I've maybe overlooked "a pretty picture" or a special moment because I'm too preoccupied to notice.....You know the old saying - "Stop and smell the roses" Who's got time to do that? I guess we just have to make the time! Something I need to work on for sure:)
